Tefal Express Essential SV6115G0
Steam generator iron · fixed 1.4L tank
Editorial review Reviewed 6 November 2026 How we assess products
The Express Essential SV6115G0 makes sense when you want to spend less on a generator and keep familiar controls. A separate 1.4 L tank gives you more water than a hand-held reservoir, and the specified 120 g/min continuous steam is a useful step up on paper from a basic iron. You’ll need somewhere stable for the base, even if you put it away between sessions. The 1.6 m hose and 1.6 m mains lead limit how far the base can sit from the board and socket. Refilling means bringing water to the fixed tank. If you iron mixed fabrics in one session and want a detachable tank and fewer dial changes, the Philips 6000 earns a look.

Brabantia Ironing Board B
Use this height-adjustable board for corded and cordless irons as well as steam generators. Keep your current board if it’s stable and has room to set your iron, dock or base down safely.
The separate metal tray takes generator bases up to 40 × 22 cm. The Philips PerfectCare 6000 fits those dimensions. Check the board’s load limit against the filled unit’s weight and make sure all feet sit flat inside the tray. The larger Philips PerfectCare Elite Plus needs a separate, stable, heat-resistant surface for its base.
