Philips PerfectCare 6000 PSG6026/20
Steam generator iron · removable 1.8L tank
Editorial review Reviewed 6 November 2026 How we assess products
If you want a generator but store it after each use, start with the dimensions of the PerfectCare 6000 PSG6026/20. Its base is 36.8 cm long and 16.8 cm wide, and it still takes a removable 1.8 L tank. The single heat setting is useful for a mixed pile of clothes that can all be ironed. The handpiece weighs 1.18 kg, and the full station weighs 3.4 kg before you fill it. Measure the cupboard and allow room beside the board for the hose. The larger Elite Plus may suit longer sessions if reducing hand weight matters more.

Brabantia Ironing Board B
Use this height-adjustable board for corded and cordless irons as well as steam generators. Keep your current board if it’s stable and has room to set your iron, dock or base down safely.
The separate metal tray takes generator bases up to 40 × 22 cm. The Philips PerfectCare 6000 fits those dimensions. Check the board’s load limit against the filled unit’s weight and make sure all feet sit flat inside the tray. The larger Philips PerfectCare Elite Plus needs a separate, stable, heat-resistant surface for its base.
