The Hotpoint Fabric Care Pro HPC 96 CARE UK is a sensible step up for smaller families who want good results from an ordinary wash. Its Eco 40–60 programme for normally soiled cottons cleans more thoroughly than the cheaper Beko BM3WT3941W’s, clearing most stains without relying on a specialist stain programme. Difficult wine and ketchup marks can still need attention. Standard washes spin more effectively than the quick option, which can leave substantial extra drying to do. App notifications are useful, but setup and some wording are fiddly, and the programme dial passes through off when you turn between settings. Its 9kg maximum suits regular loads; check each programme’s limit and leave space around the 580mm stated depth for installation.
