AEG 9000 AbsoluteCare LFR94946WS review: hard water and fabric care
9kg freestanding washing machine · SoftWater
Editorial review Reviewed 5 November 2026 How we assess products
AEG 9000 AbsoluteCare LFR94946WS is most persuasive in a hard-water home where fabric feel matters. Its SoftWater system removes minerals from wash water, helping fabrics feel softer alongside effective 49-minute, 30°C cleaning, quiet operation and easy controls. The drum light helps find small items, and a steam finish helps reduce creasing on suitable garments. Maintaining the softener requires special regeneration salt in its separate salt compartment, with hardness settings and refills following the manual; salt is not a drum or detergent additive. There is no guaranteed appliance-lifespan or skin benefit. Its 9kg maximum is programme-dependent, with a 3kg limit on the 20-minute cycle. Allow for the 660mm maximum depth and connections.
