The VonShef 2007031 is a 42cm electric frying pan with a shallow 6L cooking area, glass lid and five temperature settings. It suits family fry-ups, stir-fries and liquid-rich chilli or paella. Small rice and risotto quantities can boil dry quickly, while pizza toppings can stay pale because there is no top heat. The simple dial is easy to understand and the body is light for its size, but the wide pan still needs considerable worktop and storage space. Carry handles and a detachable cable help with serving. No recipes are supplied. Wipe the cooled non-stick surface clean by hand. Keep electrical and heating parts out of water; immersion and dishwashing are unsuitable. Hand-wash the glass lid too. Choose it for straightforward family pan cooking, rather than a deep preset cooker for small, hands-off pot meals.
