Smeg’s BLC02 is more than a decorative blender. The bright dial display, manual speed selection and recipe presets make it straightforward to control, and its smooth blending results support the price beyond appearance. This is the White BLC02WHMUK high-performance model, with a 1.5L jug and 1400W motor, rather than Smeg’s smaller personal or older jug blenders. Single and family serving modes adjust programme length, while a clean cycle helps rinse the jug between recipes. The main drawback is very loud operation: a well-designed worktop appliance is not necessarily a quiet breakfast companion. It is also heavy and bulky. The vacuum pump is a separate accessory, so do not buy the blender assuming it comes in the box. If repairability matters to you, check replacement parts and service terms before paying a premium for its looks.
