Morphy Richards MixStar
4L low-profile mixer, 400520
Editorial review Reviewed 21 October 2026 How we assess products
Cupboard height is the reason to choose the Morphy Richards MixStar. Its low-profile design, 4L bowl, timer and stored-together tools fit a kitchen where a conventional tall mixer is awkward to put away. Cake and bread mixing are useful enough to make it more than a storage compromise. The unusual mechanism brings extra parts to dismantle, wash and reassemble, and it can be noisy. Small quantities need particular attention to tool reach. Follow the working-time and dough-quantity instructions; a timer does not mean a stiff mixture can run indefinitely. The Kenwood Go offers a more familiar mixing routine if your cupboard has the height.
