The Giles & Posner EK6755G Mini gives two diners their own raclette pans without filling the table with an eight-pan appliance. A 400W heater serves the small non-stick top and the pans beneath, with an illuminated on/off switch and two spatulas supplied. The removable top and pans are hand-washed after cooling. It suits modest cheese-and-grill meals, small kitchens and occasional use where storage would otherwise put you off raclette. The upper surface is limited, so prepare manageable pieces and serve filling side dishes separately. Two pan positions leave no spare place for a guest or another portion. It offers more cooking flexibility than a single candle-heated cheese pan, but the six-pan Giles & Posner EK4511G is a better starting point if you often have friends over. Allow about five minutes to preheat; its on/off switch offers no heat adjustment.
