The Drew&Cole CleverChef 14-in-1 is a compact 5L non-pressure cooker for preset-led stews, rice, slow cooking and baking. Casseroles, chilli, cakes and whole-chicken meals are convincing uses. Baking, bread-rise and yoghurt settings give it more variety than a basic slow cooker. The removable non-stick pot is dishwasher-safe. The smaller bowl limits generous batches, but the body is easier to fit into a small kitchen than a large pressure-and-air-fry machine. Fourteen programmes do not add pressure cooking or air frying, so choose it for ordinary pot meals rather than speed or a crisp finish. It is the original CleverChef, not the CleverChef Pro pressure cooker. The Russell Hobbs Good-to-Go is a useful alternative when removing the controller for table serving and washing matters more than preset variety.
