The copper Cooks Professional G3471 suits regular hosts who can start making ice before guests arrive. Its 2.2L tank reduces refilling compared with small compact machines, and first pieces can be ready in around six minutes. Two bullet-ice sizes, a window and water/full-basket indicators keep use straightforward. The claimed 14kg daily output is production across many cycles, not storage: empty the basket repeatedly and transfer ice to the freezer for later. Fresh bullets soften quickly. Running noise is audible, so give it a kitchen spot away from a quiet dining seat. The underside drain needs room to access, and the tank, basket and scoop need the prescribed cleaning and thorough drying. A basket and scoop are supplied. Check the current manual for the G3471’s installation and clearance requirements. The CASO IceChef Compact is easier to justify for a few everyday drinks; this larger tank makes more sense for repeated serving.
