Yum Asia Panda Mini
3.5 cups, 0.63L, White and Grey
Editorial review Reviewed 24 October 2026 How we assess products
The Yum Asia Panda Mini is a compact choice for regular rice meals, with excellent basmati, jasmine, sushi and brown-rice results. Clear buttons, a quick-start guide and a full manual make it approachable. Cooking is quiet and tidy, but a small white-rice batch can take around 40 minutes; quick cooking is not necessarily quick, and the countdown appears near the end. It cooks up to 3.5 supplied 180ml cups of uncooked white rice or 2.5 brown. Steam, porridge, slow cooking and cake settings add flexibility, with a basket, cup, paddle and ladle included. Hand-wash the coated bowl and inner lid, and rinse rice separately. The Lakeland Mini costs less for simpler small portions, while Panda rewards more frequent use and varied grains. Its stable feet and mildly warm body are useful in daily use. The Yum Asia Kumo adds capacity at a lower typical budget; Panda has a narrower body.
