Vax Platinum SmartWash Pet-Design — features, strengths and limitations
CDCW-SWXP
Editorial review Reviewed 28 October 2026 How we assess products
The Vax Platinum SmartWash Pet-Design CDCW-SWXP is a strong all-round choice for regular carpet washing. Movement controls the wash and extraction, while automatic detergent mixing saves measuring each tank by hand. It cleans ingrained dirt well and its hose tools extend that usefulness to stairs, upholstery and pet beds. The dry-only setting helps draw out moisture, although carpet drying still depends on the room and material. Its main compromise is bulk: the 8.9kg body needs storage space and can feel heavy to push. Watch the tanks as you work, and leave time to rinse them and the brush area afterwards. It is worth the space for a carpeted household; a smaller washer makes more sense for occasional work in one room.
