Vax
Vax Compact Power Plus — features, strengths and limitations
CDCW-CPXP
Editorial review Reviewed 28 October 2026 How we assess products
The Vax Compact Power Plus CDCW-CPXP is a practical budget washer for a modest amount of carpet. Its powered AquaSpin brush, narrow head and 5.5kg body make it easier to work around a small room and put away afterwards. Separate removable tanks keep clean and dirty water apart, but their 1.8-litre and 1.5-litre capacities mean frequent stops on a large floor. There is no hose or upholstery tool, so this is a carpet-floor machine rather than an answer to sofa stains or carpeted stairs. Its appeal is straightforward equipment and manageable size at the budget end, rather than a promise of class-leading stain removal. Choose a full-size washer with hand tools if those extra jobs matter.
