Normal and heated-water modes give this cleaner a useful choice for everyday and tougher local marks. Heated operation works well on pen and dried mud, with brush agitation and extraction still doing part of the work. It is not a steam cleaner. A 1.8m hose and 5m cable offer useful reach, while a removable tool cover and hose-cleaning attachment make residue easier to rinse away. A 236ml starter solution is supplied. Filling and dosing take care, and it is loud in use. Check the 1.6L clean and 0.95L dirty tanks separately. Follow fill-water temperature and solution instructions, rinse after use and let the parts dry. The Bissell SpotClean HydroSteam is the alternative for actual steam assistance.
