Tefal EverSharp Pro K297S744 includes five knives, scissors and automatic sharpening in four straight-edge slots. It is the convenient choice if a separate sharpening routine tends to get forgotten. Independent tests found strong utility-knife and sandwich-cutting results, although the Santoku needed more pressure on carrot. Smooth handles may feel slippery, and the Santoku slot was less smooth. Ninja is our broader everyday preference, with manual rather than automatic sharpening.

Strengths
- Sharpening happens during normal storage

Limitations

- The bread knife is excluded from sharpening. Use each knife’s correct slot.
- Hand wash, dry promptly and keep the block clean; automatic sharpening does not remove these jobs.
