Easy Soup strikes a helpful balance between a very small jug and a larger family batch. Its 1.2L capacity comfortably covers two 500ml bowls with some left over, while straightforward programme buttons keep everyday cooking simple. Smooth and chunky soup, compote, smoothies and cleaning are all covered. The attraction is reliable everyday texture and ease of use. Smooth soup takes about 23 minutes and chunky soup about 25; a 40-minute keep-warm period gives you some freedom over serving time. That makes it more convenient than the basic Daewoo when two lunches are ready before you are. The stainless-steel jug hides progress and there is no sauté setting. Cold blending is a useful extra rather than a replacement for a powerful blender. Choose it for regular soup for two; a 1.6L machine is more suitable for four substantial bowls, and the smaller Morphy Compact is quicker for a straightforward smooth lunch.
