The slate-grey Swan Nordic combines muted colour and wood-effect accents with useful everyday heating. Its 20L cavity, 800W output, 27cm turntable and digital timing make it a practical choice as well as our best-looking solo microwave. The soft-touch casing is less prone to fingerprints than a glossy front, but needs careful wiping. Coded defrost settings take learning and the modest cavity restricts larger dishes. Check the grey SM22036LGRYN/SM22036LGRYNA model and selected colour at checkout. The Panasonic is the better default if appearance is secondary; RHM2017 has the clearer ease-of-use case, while Sage adds premium comfort features.
