The Sharp YC-QC254AU-B addresses a different problem from the air-fry models: fitting dishes into the cavity. Its 25L flatbed has no rotating glass plate, so rectangular cookware does not need clearance to turn. Microwave, grill and convection modes make it more flexible than a basic flatbed reheater. The flat floor also simplifies wiping up spills. It is a practical choice for dishes that are awkward in a turntable model, but not a compact appliance: the body is about 51cm deep. Slow defrosting is another trade-off if you often cook straight from the freezer.
