Editorial review Reviewed 29 October 2026 How we assess products
The Shark SteamPickUp SD200UK combines steaming with collection of modest wet and dry debris. That is particularly helpful around a dining table or kitchen, where crumbs and spills can otherwise turn mopping into a two-stage task. It glides comfortably and offers three steam settings, with an 8m cable providing generous reach. Dried soap marks on tiles are a strong point, and it can loosen stubborn dirt without much scrubbing. It is less convincing on grout and can leave a few streaks; heavy mud may need repeat passes. Its small collection tray also needs emptying, so treat the pickup function as everyday hard-floor help rather than a replacement for your main vacuum. Wash the roller after use and allow it to air dry fully, which can take about a day; a spare roller is supplied.
