Shark PowerDetect Powered Lift-Away AZ3900UKTBK
Bagless corded upright · powered lift-away
Editorial review Reviewed 30 October 2026 How we assess products
The Shark PowerDetect AZ3900UKTBK is a corded upright for sustained carpet, hard-floor and hair cleaning. Its two-roller head adjusts to dirt and floor changes and collects debris on forward and backward strokes. The powered lift-away body gives the hose and head more freedom around furniture and stairs; pet and small hand tools cover upholstery and corners. Dirt-detection lights help judge when to make another pass. Allow room for a broad head and a substantial machine: steering in tight gaps and carrying it between floors take effort. Larger crumbs can need another pass, and manually emptying the cup exposes more loose dirt than changing a sealed bag. The 8m cable avoids battery waits but still needs managing. It is strongest as a regular whole-home cleaner when cleaning ability matters more than light carrying.
