The Shark CarpetForce EX500UK suits regular carpet refreshes when a large washer feels too cumbersome. Its compact 6.9kg body is easier to move and store, with a removable handle and a choice of Express Clean or Deep Clean. It can lift everyday dirt effectively, but embedded coffee-type marks may remain. There is no hose or hand tool for extra scrubbing, sofas or carpeted stairs, so buy it for floors rather than all-round stain cleaning. The 350ml formula supplied is a starter amount, and Shark excludes wool carpets. This silk/gold EX500UK is distinct from newer CarpetForce Ultra HairPro variants; their extra features should not be assumed here.
