Kuro’s matt black 1.7L kettle suits several drinks together better than frequent single-cup boils. It is simple to use, with a 3,000W heater, automatic shut-off and boil-dry protection. The higher minimum fill is the compromise for somebody making one small drink at a time. Its compact-looking body coordinates with the EK5565MBLK four-slice toaster, but the two appliances are bought separately here. This is a boiling kettle: it does not offer lower temperatures for different teas or maintain a selected temperature between drinks. A good practical family option when capacity and straightforward controls matter more than extra programmes.
