Salter Kuro EK6358MBLK Digital Soup Maker
1.6L hot soup · Kettle-style
Editorial review Reviewed 3 October 2026 How we assess products
Kuro adds the conveniences that a very basic soup maker can miss. The 1.6L jug has smooth, chunky, drinks, keep-warm and blend/clean settings, so it is a better everyday fit if lunch will sometimes wait until you have finished another job. Its memory function also makes a brief interruption to adjust seasoning less awkward. Its value comes from those useful additions alongside good ordinary soup results, rather than an unusually powerful motor or a glass jug. A full batch can give four 400ml bowls, or three more generous servings. The simple controls make it approachable, although blending is still noisy and the cleaning setting needs following up with a proper wash. There is no sauté function, so soften onions separately when a recipe calls for it. The jug is not dishwasher-safe. If you want the smallest body or normally cook only two large portions, the two 1L compact models are more appropriate; Kuro is the stronger value choice for a larger batch with everyday conveniences.
