Sage The Smart Toast BTA845UK review and specifications
4-slice toaster, brushed aluminium
Editorial review Reviewed 18 October 2026 How we assess products
The BTA845UK combines four wide slots with a motorised carriage, variable browning and an LED progress display. A Quick Look lifts bread for a check during the cycle; A Bit More adds a short extra cycle. Frozen and crumpet settings help with a mixed breakfast, while the front-access crumb tray makes cleaning straightforward. It is a useful upgrade when you will use these controls often, rather than simply wanting four slices. The Bosch offers the same slice capacity for considerably less. There is no dedicated keep-warm setting, so arrange the rest of breakfast around the toast. The body measures 30.2cm wide, 27.7cm deep and 19.6cm high before the required ventilation clearance; check awkward bread against the slots.
