Sage
Sage The Smart Oven Pizzaiolo
400C, Brushed Stainless Steel
Editorial review Reviewed 30 October 2026 How we assess products
The Sage Smart Oven Pizzaiolo suits people who make pizza frequently and want to refine the result indoors. Its heating system manages the stone, crust and toppings, with presets for several styles and a manual mode for greater control. The stone moves forwards as the door opens, easing loading. Readiness feedback helps avoid launching another pizza before the oven has recovered. A peel and deep pan are included, so thin and pan pizzas do not immediately require more equipment. Its 400°C ceiling is below the Ooni Volt 2's; the premium buys a more pizza-focused approach rather than greater maximum heat. The main compromises are cost, worktop and storage space, and possible smoke at high temperatures. The chamber has no internal light for checking browning. It makes more sense as a regularly used pizza specialist than an occasional replacement for the main oven.
