Sage Paradice9

Brushed stainless steel model with dicing kit

Editorial review Reviewed 8 October 2026 How we assess products

Sage Paradice9 is the best balance of everyday preparation and specialist tools here. Its chopping blade, adjustable slicer and 12mm dicing kit cover more jobs than a basic compact processor, while the colour-coded caddy keeps the tools inside the bowl. Dicing onions is particularly useful for repeated meal preparation, though a few small pieces can remain. It has one speed and pulse rather than several speed settings, and learning the caddy and dicing assembly takes practice. The dicer is not suitable for cheese, raw sweet potato or meat. Cleaning also needs more care than a simple dishwasher-safe label suggests: hand-wash the gearbox, caddy and pushers. Choose MultiProGo for simpler, cheaper prep, or a Magimix for larger dough and batch work.

Strengths

  • 12mm dicing saves repetitive onion preparation alongside ordinary chopping
  • Adjustable slicing offers 15 thickness settings rather than a single fixed slice
  • Shredding and dough tools broaden its work beyond chopping vegetables
  • Colour-coded tools store inside the bowl, keeping the kit together
  • Cord storage and a compact 2.1L bowl make it easier to keep within reach
  • Clear bowl markings help with measuring and loading

Limitations

  • One speed plus pulse gives less speed choice than a variable-speed machine
  • The dicing assembly and storage caddy take practice to fit correctly
  • A few small onion pieces can remain after dicing
  • Dicing excludes cheese, raw sweet potato, meat and tough-skinned fruit unless peeled
  • Gearbox, caddy and pushers need hand-washing; bowl and lid should only occasionally go on the top rack
  • It is not an ice crusher; cool liquids before processing
