The white Russell Hobbs Inspire RHM1731 is a 17L, 700W solo microwave with five power settings and a 30-minute mechanical timer. Two visible dials keep ordinary heating straightforward, and the textured exterior gives it more character than a plain budget appliance. Its useful everyday heating is tempered by control drawbacks: times below two minutes are awkward to set, markings can be hard to read, wet hands can slip on the dials and the appliance can move on its feet. The 24.5cm turntable suits smaller plates. Its body measures 45.2cm wide, 35cm deep and 26.2cm high before ventilation gaps, so check depth as well as capacity. Choose it if direct manual controls and the white finish suit you; consider digital timing for accurate short bursts or a 20L model for larger dishes.
