Polti Vaporetto SV440 Double, UK White/Purple
Editorial review Reviewed 29 October 2026 How we assess products
The Polti Vaporetto SV440 Double is a versatile cleaner that remains manageable as a mop. Its flexible joint helps reach beneath furniture, and bristles at the back of the floorhead add scrubbing help on stuck-on dirt. Hard-floor cleaning is a particular strength, while the window attachment can leave glass clean without much finishing work. A variable steam dial and removable 300ml tank make it easy to adjust and refill. The anti-scale filter is useful in hard-water areas, and the 7.5m reach reduces socket changes. The nominal 15-second heat-up is only a starting point: steam may take a little longer to arrive after the ready light comes on. Holding the trigger can tire your hand, and tough scrubbing can wear the small brush bristles.
