Philips 7000 Series Contact Grill HD6307/70

A probe-equipped contact grill with adjustable plate height and a timer that stops heating.

Editorial review Reviewed 23 October 2026 How we assess products

Philips HD6307/70 combines a conventional contact grill with an integrated food probe. That is a useful distinction from the Tefal OptiGrill Elite GC750D40's thickness-based predictions: the probe checks the temperature inside suitable meat or fish when positioned correctly. Eight presets cover foods and meat-doneness settings, with digital temperature adjustment when you want more control. The upper plate can sit at different heights for thicker food or an open sandwich, and the grill opens 180° to use both heated surfaces. Plates and the grease tray remove for cleaning. Its timer stops heating when the set time finishes, unlike the Cuisinart GR47BU's reminder-only timer. These practical features make it a strong choice without requiring a large grill-air-fryer body. Ninja EG351UK adds air frying; Philips is the clearer choice for contact heat, adjustable height and opening-flat use.
