OXO Good Grips is the strongest everyday choice when large bowls hide a normal scale’s display. Its pull-out backlit screen remains visible, while the removable stainless-steel platform helps with spills. The 5kg capacity includes the bowl; a capacity indicator shows the remaining headroom. It reads in 1g steps from a stated 2g starting load, so tiny yeast or spice quantities need a different scale. There is no millilitre mode, but liquids can still be weighed in grams in a container after pressing tare to reset the reading to zero. Metric and imperial units, such as grams and ounces, cover routine recipes. The screen mechanism needs cleaning around its edges and the body takes more space than a basic flat scale.
