Steam

Editorial review Reviewed 2 October 2026 How we assess products

The original Wonder Oven’s appeal is its small footprint and useful spread of functions. Air fry, bake, roast, toast, reheat and grill cover snacks and smaller meals, with steam infusion available by adding a little water. This is moisture-assisted oven cooking, rather than a dedicated steam-cooking programme. Baking is a good reason to consider it: the original model performed well with cupcakes and roasted chicken in cooking checks. Toast and small bakes are more convincing reasons to buy than expecting basket-air-fryer crispness: chips can take longer and results depend on the portion and recipe. Its 12.3L capacity is the trade-off. The cavity is much smaller than the 20–34L choices here, so check your favourite tin and meal size before buying. Accessories need hand washing, and the price buys compact design and flexibility rather than maximum cooking space.
