The 501014 is the practical choice if sautéing is the missing step in your soup routine. Softening onions and other ingredients in the jug before adding stock saves transferring them from a frying pan. Its 1.6L capacity covers a useful batch, with smooth soup in about 21 minutes and chunky soup in about 28. Its appeal is flavour-building in a straightforward kettle-style appliance. Drinks and manual blending add flexibility, while the non-stick surface helps when washing up. It offers the key sauté benefit without the weight and broader menus of the Ninja heated blender. Smooth texture is less consistent across recipes than on our leading blender choices, and thick or starchy mixtures can catch around the heated base. Follow the recipe order and fill marks, then clean promptly by hand. Choose it for the sauté step and ordinary soup; Total Control is more flexible if changing portions and texture settings matter too.
