Total Control’s advantage is making different amounts without treating every meal as a full batch. Portion controls let you select two, three or four servings, while smooth, medium and chunky settings give you more say over texture. Its 1.6L maximum works out at four 400ml bowls; a larger family or very hearty appetites may still need another batch. Sautéing in the jug helps build flavour before stock is added, and reheat, blending and cleaning functions make the appliance useful across the week. The removable inner vessel is a particular benefit when washing up: you are not trying to scrub around a whole electrical appliance in the sink. The controls are more involved than Easy Soup’s, blending is noisy and food can collect around the lid. The cleaning setting is a starting point rather than a reason to put washing off. Its family recommendation rests on flexible portions and texture choices, rather than a claim that it makes enough for every household in one go.
