Magimix suits frequent dessert makers who value dense gelato, smooth results and automatic or manual control. Fixed and removable bowls allow sequential batches without pre-freezing an empty bowl, with relatively quiet operation. The premium and 11kg body are excessive for occasional vanilla. Each nominal 2L bowl takes around 1L of ice-cream mixture or 1.3L for sorbet. Pre-cool for five minutes and use chilled base; recipe and starting temperature affect completion. The removable bowl needs 35ml of the specified salt-water or food-grade alcohol solution beneath it to transfer cooling. Clear residue to avoid oxidation, and let the fixed bowl defrost before cleaning. Removable parts are dishwasher-safe, although hand washing is recommended; the polished exterior shows fingerprints. The storage cycle holds dessert for up to two hours, not long-term storage. Lakeland Compressor is better value for basic churning.
