Lakeland
Lakeland Digital Ice Cream Maker 33037
An affordable digital churner for planned batches
Editorial review Reviewed 9 October 2026 How we assess products
Lakeland Digital is a useful step up from Solo Scoops for a larger conventional batch without compressor cost. Its light motor housing, simple digital timer and relatively quiet churning suit occasional use, although whining is possible. Suitable chilled recipes can make good ice cream and gelato; loose results and an unsuccessful gelato batch show why adjustment and freezer firming may be needed. Freeze the bowl for at least 12 hours; successive batches need another ready bowl. The 1.8L bowl needs 4cm headroom, with 720ml a practical starting recipe. Start the paddle before pouring. The timer adjusts from five to 45 minutes in five-minute steps, defaulting to 40; watch the texture rather than trusting the time. Filling and extraction can be messy. Hand-wash all parts once the bowl warms, and wipe the motor and digital unit.
