Lakeland’s compact jug is a strong choice when storing another appliance is the main obstacle to making soup regularly. Its 1L capacity suits two large bowls or smaller starter portions, and the lighter jug-style body is easier to accommodate than a tall glass heated blender. Soup quality and straightforward cleaning are good reasons to choose it over simply buying the smallest appliance available. Smooth soup takes about 24 minutes and chunky soup about 26, with drinks, blending and cleaning settings alongside them. The cleaning programme helps loosen leftovers around the blade, though you still need to wash and check the jug. It is a small-batch choice: you cannot fill it beyond the hot maximum to serve a larger household. There is no sauté function and blending can be noisy.
