Hamilton Beach
Hamilton Beach HB28HDB Mini Oven with Double Hotplate
28L, 3100W, double hotplates
Editorial review Reviewed 2 October 2026 How we assess products
The HB28HDB earns its place for a particular need: a countertop oven with two hob rings that can work alongside it. That makes more sense for a temporary kitchen or a small space needing both an oven meal and a pan than an air-fry oven alone. The 28L cavity handles ordinary roasting and baking without a fan. Chicken, bread and cupcakes cooked evenly in testing, though cooking took longer than in the air-fry ovens. The hob is the compromise. The rings switch on and off rather than offering a useful range of simmer settings, and boiling water was slow. It can cover occasional saucepan cooking, but is a weaker substitute for a proper hob if that is how you cook every day.
