FoodSaver
FoodSaver VS1199 Handheld Cordless Vacuum Sealer review and specifications
Black/Silver, charging dock included
Editorial review Reviewed 7 October 2026 How we assess products
The VS1199 is a small cordless pump for topping up compatible FoodSaver valve bags and containers. Its dock keeps it ready, and this starter includes a 1.2-litre container and ten 0.94-litre zipper bags. It removes air through a valve rather than heat-sealing an open bag, so it cannot make custom packs from ordinary rolls. We prefer it for small portions and reusable storage rather than large batches of custom freezer bags. Check the ongoing cost of compatible accessories. The selected listing flags non-English instructions, so make sure suitable operating and care instructions are available before buying.
