Fellow Opus 2: Easier Grinding for Each Weighed Dose
48mm stepless single-dose grinder, black
Editorial review Reviewed 23 October 2026 How we assess products
The Fellow Opus 2 is an approachable way to weigh and grind beans for each drink. Its 48mm conical burrs and freely adjustable side dial allow small espresso adjustments, and the motor stops when the dose is finished. A magnetic catch cup, ioniser and separate 30g espresso cup for 54mm/58mm transfers help keep handling tidy. It grinds quickly and suits medium- and dark-roast espresso, but produces a loud, rattly sound. The plastic chamber and impeller also distinguish it from the largely metal DF64Coffee DF54. Filter cups can lack the sweetness and definition of the Fellow Ode Gen 2. Buy for convenient changes between beans and brew methods; prioritise the Ode when filter flavour is the main goal.
