Weigh each load before putting it in the 100g hopper; it is a batch-loading container rather than bean storage. Automatic stopping, a grounds knocker and anti-static treatment make collection convenient, although some coffee still needs brushing out. The extra cost over an everyday Cuisinart CBM22U is most useful for regular filter drinkers exploring different beans. A household that also needs espresso should consider the Fellow Opus 2 or allow for a separate grinder.
