For a couple of iced drinks at a time, the black EUHOMY IM06D offers a useful set of features at a lower cost than our overall CASO choice. It has a 1.2L tank, two bullet-ice sizes, viewing window, carry handle and low-water/full-basket indicators. The manufacturer claims nine pieces from six minutes and up to 12kg over 24 hours; neither figure means a basketful is ready immediately. Its 0.6kg basket needs frequent emptying when building a reserve, and the ice gradually melts unless transferred to a freezer. A 30-minute cleaning programme helps circulate water internally, but does not replace washing the removable parts, draining and drying. Check the manual for cleaning products, ventilation and upright settling after transport. This recommendation is for the black IM06D, rather than a different EUHOMY model or colour. The CASO IceChef Compact is a more rounded everyday choice if you can justify the extra cost.
