Dualit Architect 26526 review and specifications
2-slice toaster, grey
Editorial review Reviewed 18 October 2026 How we assess products
The grey Architect 26526 offers automatic two-slice toasting with useful control. Peek & Pop lifts bread for a check without cancelling the cycle, and temperature compensation adjusts cycle length as the toaster warms. Wide slots, bagel, bun-warming and defrost functions suit varied breakfasts; the removable crumb tray helps with cleaning. Interchangeable panels can update the appearance. A sandwich cage is available separately, not included. Width does not guarantee that long bread fits, and the polished surfaces show marks. Choose it for convenient daily operation and its controls; do not assume the Architect has the different NewGen range’s repairable construction. The Sage Toast Select Luxe adds bread presets, while the Inspire provides simpler checking at a lower price.
