Cuisinart Grill and Griddle GR47BU
Variable heat, interchangeable plates and easier washing at a sensible price.
Editorial review Reviewed 23 October 2026 How we assess products
The Cuisinart GR47BU gets the essentials right for regular grilling: adjustable heat, flat and ridged cooking plates, and parts you can remove for washing. It can press a sandwich, grill meat or open flat when you want more room for vegetables and breakfast food. At its current price, that flexibility is more persuasive than an expensive programme list. It needs a little attention. The heavy lid can squeeze a generously filled panini, and the timer sounds an alert rather than switching off the heat. There is also a second set of plates to store. Those compromises are easier to accept than fixed plates if you cook sticky marinades or cheese regularly. George Foreman Immersa 28310 simplifies washing; Philips HD6307/70 adds a probe. Cuisinart is the stronger everyday value when adjustable heat and plate choice matter.
