Cuisinart CBM22U Conical Burr Grinder: Convenient Filter Grinding on a Modest Budget
35-setting grinder with 225g hopper
Editorial review Reviewed 23 October 2026 How we assess products
The Cuisinart CBM22U suits daily filter and cafetière brewing without the cost of an enthusiast grinder. It has 35 settings, a removable 225g hopper, cup selection, manual operation and a portafilter mode. Taking the hopper off makes changing beans and cleaning easier. Grinding is fairly even for everyday brewing, although grounds can spill around a portafilter despite the anti-static design. Start carefully with fine settings: the lowest number can choke an espresso shot, and the Baratza Encore ESP offers more useful fine adjustment for a conventional espresso basket. The Cuisinart’s three-year manufacturer guarantee and flexible collection options add to its everyday value.
