CASO suits larger planned recipes and occasional yoghurt rather than individual portions. Balanced dairy and plant-based recipes can give smooth results, but very small batches may churn poorly or stall; larger recipes can take over an hour. Quiet running, clear controls and an ingredient hatch help during longer sessions. Four programmes cover cooling, mixing, ice cream and yoghurt, with up to 60 minutes of aftercooling. Yoghurt needs hours and separate recipe preparation. The nominal 2L bowl stays below 60% fill, described as about 1L of liquid. Its 11.8kg, roughly 43cm-wide body needs worktop space with 10cm around the vents. Stand it upright for 24 hours before first use, dry the bowl’s exterior before fitting, and hand-wash accessories. Magimix offers more gelato-focused control; CASO’s appeal is batch size and versatility.
