The CASO Clear Ice Advanced is the choice for clearer-looking cocktail ice in a compact machine. It makes clear or matte bullets, not solid bar-style blocks; water and operating conditions affect transparency. The 1.5L tank, basket, scoop and water/full-basket alerts make everyday use manageable. Expect normal claimed cycles of eight to 12 minutes and allow roughly 90 minutes to build a substantial basket, rather than planning around a fast first batch. Its up-to-8.8kg daily claim is lower than several basic models, making the Cooks Professional G3471 a better choice for repeated party serving. Running noise can be unobtrusive in a shared living space, but the tinted window makes the ice level harder to see. Removable parts help cleaning, but the tank still needs draining and drying as instructed. Transfer finished ice to a freezer for later; the basket is temporary storage. The CASO IceChef Compact is the better all-round choice when ice appearance matters less.
