Breville Sandwich Press VST025 review and specifications
3-slice toastie and panini press
Editorial review Reviewed 4 October 2026 How we assess products
Flat plates and a hinged lid make the VST025 more flexible about bread shape than a triangular sandwich toaster. Paninis, wraps and ciabatta do not have to fit moulded pockets. It preheats quickly and cooks evenly, making it a useful inexpensive press for lunches made with different breads. The trade-off is that it does not seal the edges. Cheese and wetter filling can escape, and the casing gets hot. Its fixed non-stick plates are relatively straightforward to wipe, but they cannot be detached for washing. The listing’s three-slice description is a size label, not a promise to fit three complete filled sandwiches; the amount you can cook depends on your bread. The budget panini choice if you want flexibility rather than sealed triangles.
