Breville Edge VKT192/VTT981 Set review and specifications
VKT192 kettle and VTT981 toaster, Brushed Stainless Steel
Editorial review Reviewed 6 October 2026 How we assess products
Tall slices are the reason to choose this Brushed Steel Edge bundle. The VTT981 two-slice toaster browns bread towards the top, with Lift & Look for checking progress and high lift for smaller pieces. Thick homemade bread can catch at the corners and different loaves need different settings; there is no dedicated bagel mode. The VKT192 1.7L kettle has a red Still Hot indicator that remains lit above 80°C, showing residual heat rather than maintaining a chosen temperature. Its small-fill minimum is not clearly marked. Steel surfaces show fingerprints. A useful two-person pairing when bread fit matters, but a four-slice model is more convenient for a larger breakfast table.
