Bodum Bistro Barista Scale
11915-01, timer and load-dependent increments
Editorial review Reviewed 24 October 2026 How we assess products
Bodum Bistro Barista 11915-01 combines a clear display, stable feet and a 99-minute timer for coffee preparation. Its 5kg capacity is useful beyond beans, but the steps vary: 0.1g at 1–200g, 0.5g at 200–500g and 1g at 500–5000g. Consider the load of your brewing setup; it is not a constant-0.1g scale. Small crevices need careful cleaning. Firm button presses and an underside unit switch are less convenient. It needs three AAA batteries, not supplied, and switches off after two minutes without weight changes or timer activity. Only the detached protective platform is dishwasher safe: keep the body dry, protect against acidic or strongly coloured food and clean promptly. Check drip-tray fit rather than assuming it. Beurer KS36 has finer steps over a wider light-load range but no brew timer.
